The Clear Space Theatre Company will have their debut performance in the brand new Cape Henlopen Theatre with 100 YEARS OF BROADWAY II. Only two performances will be held: Friday, October 30, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 1, at 3 p.m. The new theatre at Cape Henlopen High School offers comfortable seating and fantastic acoustics. This familiar cast of 9, including the Directors of Clear Space, Ken Skrzesz and Doug Yetter, is sure to shine in this state-of-the-art performance space. The new theatre has assigned seating, so ticket reservations are encouraged for all performances. 100 YEARS OF BROADWAY II features members of the Clear Space Theatre Company and music arranged by Clear Space Artistic Director, Doug Yetter. The score takes the audience on an exciting journey through the past century of popular showtunes as the performers sing and dance their way through each decade beginning with popular sing-along favorites and ending with jukebox hits. On the way, featured composers include Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Burt Bacharach and songs from shows such as OKLAHOMA, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, GYPSY, HAIR, LES MISERABLES, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MAMMA MIA!, and JERSEY BOYS, just to name a few. Audience favorite, Erin Williams, commented after a rehearsal, “This year’s 100 YEARS [OF BROADWAY II] is so riveting because it contains so many medleys. I cannot believe how many songs and shows we cover throughout the show.”
