2015 Making A Difference Conference

A Conference for Early Childhood Professionals

On April 17 & 18, Early Childhood Education professionals will gather for the 2015 Making A Difference Conference: A Conference for Early Childhood Professionals.

ECE professionals throughout Delaware and neighboring states will come together to expand their knowledge base, learn about the latest practices and research, discover new resources, and make new connections.

The conference offers 5.5 quality assured hours each day and we are pleased to include several Spanish language workshops. We welcome keynote speakers Dr. Jean Feldman (Dr. Jean) and Ta’Mora Jackson. These speakers will inspire us and remind us why we’ve chosen this worthwhile profession.

This statewide conference returns to Delaware Technical Community College-Terry Campus in Dover. Delaware Head Start Association (DHSA) and Delaware Association for the Education of Young Children (DAEYC) have once again collaborated to provide quality workshops and high level keynote speakers.

With the support of The Delaware Department of Education and the Delaware Office of Early Learning, we’ve made a concerted effort to not only reach out to dual language educators but to increase the number of workshops for center directors, administrators, owners, teachers, and family childcare providers.

As Early Childhood Education includes many different aspects and nuances, we’ve attempted to present workshops that address topics of relevance, importance, and fun. Registrants will learn how to seek ‘Funding for Capital and Technology,’ ‘Rethink the Calendar,’ discuss ‘Seizures Recognition and Management,’ ‘Create Peaceful Classrooms,’ and be reminded by Dr. Jean of the ‘Oldies But Goodies!’ Participants can also re-visit such topics as Safe Sleep, Brain Development, Family Engagement, Art in the Classroom, Dual Language Learners, and The Great Outdoors.

As the landscape of Early Childhood Education changes in the State of Delaware, the Making A Difference Conference presents an opportunity for participants to network, find commonalities, share strategies and techniques used to address issues, and discuss the future of the industry while reconnecting with colleagues. We invite all those in the Early Childhood industry to join us.
Registration for the Making A Difference has begun! Registration continues through March 27, 2015 or until all sessions are full. Register online at https://dieecpd.org/registry/conference/info/11. Continental breakfast and hot lunch will be available for all conference registrants.
