500 American Flags flying over 1/2 mile of Wilmington Riverfront dedicated

(September 3, 2020) – The Rotary Club of Wilmington, with the help of U.S. Senator Chris Coons, Delaware Adjutant General Michael Berry, New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer, and Wilmington Mayor Michael Purzycki, dedicated 500 American flags on the Wilmington Riverfront in honor of U.S. Military, first responders, and front-line workers on Thursday.

“The men and women we are honoring with this display of flags are true representatives of the Rotary motto of ‘service above self’,” said Amy Bielicki, President of the Rotary Club of Wilmington.

The flags are scheduled to remain on the Riverfront until September 14.
