ALERT: Wednesday morning severe thunderstorms in Kent and Sussex Counties

The National Weather Services has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southern Kent County and Northwestern Sussex County, effective until 1am, Wednesday morning.
National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated a line of severe thunerstorms. These severe storms extended from Harmony to Choptank to Cambridge.moving NE at 35 MPH. These storms are capable of producing one-inch diameter hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 MPH.

Severe thunderstorms will be near:
Federalsburg & Smithville around 1220 AM.
Harrington around 1230 AM.
Seaford around 1235 AM.
Bridgeville around 1240 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.

This is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path, move indoors to a
sturdy building and stay away from windows. When it is safe to do
so, report severe weather to local law enforcement or to the National Weather Service.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this line of severe thunderstorms. When thunder roars, move indoors! Remember. if you can hear thunder,you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
