The Delaware Historical Society is partnering with the Friends of the Georgetown Library and the Delaware Humanities Forum to celebrate Delaware Railroad History.
January 20, 2011 5:30-7:00 pm at The Georgetown Public Library 123 West Pine Street, Georgetown, DE. The evening will include light refreshments followed by a presentation on the Delaware railroad history by Michael Dixon.
The Library will be hosting the Historical Society’s traveling exhibition, Almost as Fast as Birds Can Fly: The Railroad in Delaware History, through the end of January. Free and open to the public, and a great way to introduce potential members to one of the many facets of the Delaware Historical Society.
