Once I heard the Spirit say, “the LORD revealed Himself to Moses in the burning bush that burned yet was not consumed and to Elijah in the still small voice.” And I understood that God reveals Himself anyway He deems fit to get our attention. Hence, we should not misinterpret how He calls someone else.
His desire is that we all come to know and trust HIM in an intimate way. In fact, the eyes of the LORD are in every place keeping watch. And what does HE see? Unfortunately, He sees the many idols that abound on the earth. People are believing lies, forming, and hiding idols hoping they will not be uncovered. Sadly, this happens because people do not know the meaning of trust.
Trust is assurance! God does not lie! Therefore, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.” (Proverbs 3:5)
Furthermore, people tend to misunderstand the written word. They make assumptions about His instructions. Claiming to love HIM, they build structures that conform to their idols, thereby justifying the exclusion of others.
We need eyes to see and ears to hear clearly to avoid missing out. For “This evil people who refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imaginations of their hearts and walk after other gods, to serve them and to worship them shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.” (Jeremiah 13:15)
An idol is anything that takes precedence over God. Sometimes, people do not realize that they have ‘other gods before God” thus they break the first commandment. All of us have done it! For example, have you ever put a political leader, a pastor or belief system, a boss, money, etc. before God? Likewise, we trust more readily in our car to start when we put the key in the ignition or that the lights to turn on when we flip the switch than we trust the LORD to keep His promises.
Hence, we fail to hear when He calls. “But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD’s flock is carried away captive.” (Jer. 13:17). We are God’s secret places! Therefore, “these are the things you shall do: speak each man the truth to his neighbor. Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice and peace.” (Zec. 8:16) “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD and He ponders all his paths.” (Prov. 5:21)
God desires to reveal himself to you too that he may do His mighty work on the earth through you. Would you let Him? Then abide in HIS WORD. And remember you are a precious soul in His sight. His love is pure and perfect! Therefore, be faithful and trust without wavering that He may speak to you too.

Sé fiel y confía sin vacilar

Una vez oí al Espíritu decir, “El Señor se reveló a Moisés en la zarza ardiente que no se consumía y a Elías en la pequeña y quieta voz.” Y entendí que Dios se revela a sí mismo del mejor modo que él considera apropiado para llamar nuestra atención. Por lo tanto, no debemos malinterpretar lo que usa para llamar a otra persona.
Su deseo es que todos lleguen a conocerlo y confíen en ÉL de una manera íntima. De hecho, los ojos del Señor están en cada lugar vigilando. ¿Y qué ve ÉL? Desafortunadamente, Él ve los muchos ídolos que abundan en la tierra. Personas que creen mentiras, forman y esconden ídolos con la esperanza de que no sean descubiertos. Lamentablemente, esto sucede porque la gente no conoce el significado de la confianza.
¡La confianza es garantía! ¡Dios no miente! Por lo tanto, “Confía en Jehová con todo tu corazón, y no te apoyes en tu propio entendimiento, en todos tus caminos reconócelo y Él dirigirá tus pasos“. (Prov. 3:5)
Además, la gente tiende a malinterpretar las escrituras. Ellos hacen suposiciones acerca de Sus instrucciones. Afirmando amarlo, construyen estructuras que se ajustan a sus ídolos y así justifican la exclusión de muchos otros.
Necesitamos ojos para ver y oídos para oír claramente para evitar perdernos. Pues “Este pueblo malvado que se niega a escuchar mis palabras, que camina en la imaginación de sus corazones y detrás de otros dioses, para servirles y adorarlos será incluso como esta faja, que es buena para nada.” (Jer. 13:15)
Un ídolo es aquello que se pone por encima de Dios. A veces, la gente no se da cuenta de que tienen ‘otros dioses delante de Él- por tanto, rompen el primer mandamiento. ¡Todos lo hemos hecho! Por ejemplo, ¿alguna vez has puesto a un líder político, un pastor o sistema de creencias, un jefe, el dinero, etc. ante Dios? Del mismo modo, confiamos más fácilmente en que prenda el carro cuando le ponemos la llave o que las luces en la casa prendan a que el Señor sea fiel a Sus promesas.
Es penoso que rehusamos escucharlo. “Pero si no me escuchas, mi alma llorará en lugares secretos por tu orgullo; y mi ojo llorará, porque el rebaño de Jehová es llevado cautivo.” (Jeremías 13:17). ¡Somos esos lugares secretos de Dios! Por lo tanto, “estas son las cosas que debes hacer: hable cada hombre la verdad a su prójimo. Juzga en tu puerta la verdad, la justicia y la paz”. (Zac. 8:16) “Porque los caminos del hombre están ante los ojos de Jehová y Él medita sobre todos sus caminos.” (Prov. 5:21)
Dios desea revelarse para hacer su obra poderosa en la tierra a través de cada uno de nosotros. ¿Lo dejarías? Entonces, perdura en Su Palabra. Y recuerda que eres alma preciosa ante Sus ojos. ¡Te ama con amor puro y perfecto! Por lo tanto, sé fiel y confía sin vacilar para que también te pueda hablar.
