I am pleased that Jack Markell has kept his word and is continuing to offer substantive policy proposals after the primary. Because Jack is up 30 points in the polls, he easily could have relaxed and transitioned into slogans and campaign sound bytes. Jack’s press conference with Democratic nominee for Lt. Governor Matt Denn about the budget today proves that he is absolutely committed to being a strong leader for Delaware .

Jack is taking our state in the right direction, and I'm confident that he will tackle the tough issues facing our state with bold, democratic ideas and detailed policy proposals.
