Celebrado el 2015 DE Latino Summit

Con una amplia agenda y bajo el lema " Connecting Through Education for a Brighter Future" (Conectando a través de la educación para un futuro más brillante), tuvo lugar el II Latino Summit convocado por la Comisión Hispana de Delaware.

La cumbre se celebró en el Chase Center en Wilmington, DE.

• Economic Development - Invest In Yourself - Learn how you can improve your finances and earning potential. You will hear from business professionals that can help you start a business find the right job, learn a marketable skill and improve your personal finance.

• Education -The Education of Pre-K -12 English Learners: Delaware Success Plan - An overview of Delaware’s strategic plan to deliver student-centered high-quality research-based programs across the state.

• Health & Social Services - This session will provide awareness of the strategy that we are implementing partnering with the community, The Delaware’s State Health Innovation plan, with the goal of transforming the way we experience health services, strengthen primary care systems, provide team-based care, focusing on affordability, support patients to engage in their care and promote communities to work together to promote health.

• Housing - Housing Opportunities - The breakout session is designed to help educate individuals on the opportunities and resources that are available to them through the Delaware State Housing Authority.

• Social Justice and Community - Restorative Justice

• Transportation: Every Trip, Every Mode, Every Dollar, Everyone - Learn about the new law SB 59 driving privilege card, expanded DART bus services, and the importance of community participation in the State’s Transportation plan.
