Child Tax Credit Campaign

Families must sign up by November 15 to get payments this year

Families of over 60 million children are already receiving the Child Tax Credit – $3,600 annually for children under 6 and $3,000 for kids between 6 and 17 – but families who haven’t signed up and earn too little to have to file taxes are missing out. These families must sign up by November 15 to get payments this year.  Between now and November 15, families can go to, an easy to use tool to sign-up for the Child Tax Credit for families who aren’t required to file taxes. This tool, created by Code for America, in collaboration with the White House and Treasury, is in English and Spanish and is mobile friendly, and most families can complete it within about 15 minutes. But families need to know about the tool if they’re going to use it. Families could now get up to $300 a month for each child in the family. This is money to help families with the costs of raising their kids. It is necessary to sign up online before November 15. Live help is available.
