Summary Statement: Arts Planner series requires skill in arts administration, policy, and practice. Responsibilities include conducting research and developing programs that support arts organizations in management, marketing, professional development, and grantsmanship. Planners advise the Director on the nonprofit arts sector, communication strategies, and community arts engagement. Planners manage grants, promote agency programs, and participate in strategic planning and policy implementation.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.
Six months experience in the performing arts discipline (i.e. music, theater, dance).
Six months experience in public relations, media relations or communications such as establishing and promoting a positive image with the public, informing or influencing specific audiences through the use of internal and external communications such as public forums, journalism, writing, marketing, advertising, promotions, or special events.
