The Sussex County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) will be offering a Technician Amateur Radio class on Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15 at Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown, Delaware. The class is open to the public interested in obtaining an Amateur Radio (“Ham”) license.
Attendees must purchase a study guide prior to the class. The classes will run from 8 AM til 4 PM on Saturday and from 8 til noon on Sunday ending with the administration of the FCC Amateur Radio license exam.
The charge for the class and test is only $25 to cover costs of instructional and testing expenses and fees. This is a great way to get into the exciting hobby of Amateur Radio by reading a study guide in advance and spending a weekend with expert instruction including the FCC exam. You can leave the class as a licensed Amateur Radio operator.
