Delaware Senate passes Civil Unions bill

Dover, DE - The Delaware Senate has passed by a 13-6 vote the Civil Unions bill, that would allow same sex couples to enter into civil unions.

The bill would grant same sex couples the same legal protections as married couples.

Now the measure goes to the House for discussion. Gov. Jack Markell has said that if approved he will sign it into law.
