Los Angeles, CA – Beginning June 7, Azteca America, the fastest-growing Spanish-language network in the United States, pushes soccer passion and adrenaline to the limit with the premiere of Los Protagonistas del Mundial at 10 pm / 9C.
Everything audiences want to know about the biggest sporting event in the world, the FIFA World Cup, will be presented by former Mexican national team players and soccer legends Luis García and Jorge Campos, who will be covering all the action from South Africa. Joining them will be the experienced Paco González, Carlos Guerrero and Rodrigo Murray as well as the stunning Pamela Ardnt. Lilian Yedid will file special reports and Tachidito will add some comic relief with his hilarious World Cup characters.
Fans of soccer will see another side of the World Cup with analyses, special guests, soccer beauties, glamour, comedy, the biggest events, entertaining segments and everything about South African culture. They will get up close and personal with the warriors of the field struggling to win the world championship.
Los Protagonistas del Mundial is a program that will showcase aspects of the World Cup in an informative, fast-paced and enjoyable way. This is the best option for television audiences in the United States, showing the other side of the world’s biggest sporting event with segments featuring analysis, color commentary, and humor.
Beginning June 7, Azteca América will change the schedule of some of its programs:
* Find out about the most important events in the United States and the world with Noticiero Nacional Azteca América anchored by Roberto Ruiz Monday through Friday at 5 pm / 4C.
* La Loba, the hit telenovela that has won the hearts of audiences, moves to a new time. Featuring international stars Mauricio Islas, Ivonne Montero, Regina Torné, Omar Fierro, Rosana Nájera, Mauricio Barcelata and an excellent supporting cast, La Loba moves to 9 pm / 8C.
* Push your senses to the extreme with Al Extremo. Bringing you images no one else dares to show you and hosted by Juan Barragán, Aline Hernández and Maritere Alessandri, Al Extremo can be seen Monday through Friday at 11 pm / 10C.
