Activities will include:

Ribbons will be awarded in five categories including funniest, scariest, prettiest, cutest and most original. Line-up will begin at 10:45 a.m. with the costume parade starting at 11:30 a.m. Ribbons will be awarded at 12 noon with judges stationed next to Delaware Made General Store on Loockerman Street.

. Trick Or Treating — Children are invited to visit participating merchants, which will be marked with orange and black balloons, for trick or treating. Free trick or treat bags will be provided to the first 1,000 children, and will be available at participating merchants.

. Decorated Store Windows — Everyone is invited downtown on October 31 to view participating merchants’ decorated store windows.

“We’re joining together with our merchants to provide a safe atmosphere for children and their families to enjoy Halloween,” said Bill Neaton, Executive Director of the Downtown Dover Partnership. “We’re looking forward to seeing many smiling faces that day and we encourage the public to come down and see the creative costumes, shop in our stores and enjoy lunch at any of our downtown eateries.”
