Edward James Olmos to speak at University of Delaware on Thursday, September 24

Opening ceremony celebrating Latino Heritage Month at UDel

Newark, DE – As part of the tenth annual celebration of the Latino Heritage Month, the University of Delaware is featuring Edward James Olmos during the opening ceremony on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 7 pm (Doors open at 6:30 pm).

With the title “Access Redefined: We’re All in the Same Gang”, Olmos will be delivering a message of how self-discipline and determination can overcome obstacles.

Olmos is a multi-talented actor, producer, director and community activist.

The speak will take place at UDel’s Trabant Center in downtown Newark. The event free and open to the public.
