John M. Clayton and East Millsboro elementary schools will host a series of open houses for their Spanish immersion programs on April 14 and April 16. Parents interested in enrolling their child in the program next year may visit these schools on either day to tour the immersion classrooms. No appointment is necessary.
Only kindergarten students will be selected for the program in 2014-2015.
The schedule for tours is as follows:
April 14
East Millsboro Elementary – 8:50 a.m., 10:05 a.m., 10:30 a.m.
John M. Clayton Elementary – 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m.
April 16
East Millsboro Elementary – 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m.
John M. Clayton Elementary – 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m.
The Spanish immersion program gives young learners the opportunity to acquire a second language in a developmentally-appropriate format. Students will spend half of each school day learning in English and the other half of the day learning in Spanish.
