Watch the world of art come to life for many of our young people as the Georgetown Boys & Girls Club, and other Clubs in DE and MD compete for the title of "Ellen's Wacky Chair" champion. These young boys & girls, along with select local artists, will design a "wacky chair" and have a chance for their creation to be seen on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, while also raising money to support local Boys & Girls Clubs and the Biggs Museum. The Georgetown Chamber, in cooperation with WMDT and the Delaware State Fair, will host the"Wacky Chair Contest" Breakfast on Wed., July 8th at the Brick Hotel on the Circle in Georgetown at 7:30 AM. to offer support of our Georgetown Club, and send its "wacky chair" entry off in style to the Delaware State Fair, where it and all the other entries will be on display for the Fair's duration, and then on to the Biggs Museum. Viewers of the chairs will be encouraged to participate in an online voting process, which will determine the winner. This is one Breakfast you won't want to miss, and one contest you want to be a part of! RSVP today at 856-1544, and keep your eyes & ears open for more "Ellen's Wacky Chair Contest" details, as they become available.
