The Sussex County Hispanic Complete Count Census Committee Meeting invited everybody last Friday, February 19 from 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm at Delaware Technical & Community College Arts & Sciences Building, Room 304.
They wanted to mobilize schools, churches, non-profit organizations, businesses, sports, press/media, and community members to work together to inform the Hispanic Community in Sussex County about Census 2010 and encouraged everyone to participate by filling out the form and mailing it in.
WE ARE JUST ONE MONTH AWAY FROM CENSUS FORMS BEING MAILED OUT
The meeting covered
* Update on Census Info
* Document what is happening in Sussex
* Develop strategies to reach more Hispanics
* Distribute materials from the U.S. Census Bureau
The meeting was opened to anyone who was interested in volunteering to work on this project.
