Be the one to make a difference in your community!
The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) will host “Salud y Vida,” its first volunteer training program presented entirely in Spanish on April 12, 2011 from 4:30 to 7 :30 pm at the Georgetown Fire Hall, 100 S. Bedford Street in Georgetown. This training is for anyone who would like to give back and help those impacted by breast cancer. No experience is required. Participants are encouraged to bring a friend who wants to learn more about volunteering. DBCC volunteers help with outreach by attending community fairs and events and also help with tasks and projects in the office.
“We need your help in sharing the important message of breast health to Latina women in Western Sussex County,” says DBCC Program Manager Cheryl Doucette. “Please consider letting us show you on all the ways that you can help DBCC make a difference in the lives of your family and friends.”
Space is limited and registration is required. Please call Sonia Villafane at DBCC at 302-672-6435 to register. Light refreshments will be provided. For information on additional volunteer training programs, please visit www.debreastcancer.org.
