At a special emergency meeting on March 1, the Indian River Board of Education approved a series of changes to the 2009-2010 school district calendar.
Students will attend fifteen (15) additional minutes at the end of each school day beginning March 8, 2010.
The last student day will be a full day on Friday, June 11, 2010.
Students will attend full days on the previously scheduled half-days on March 26, 2010, April 16, 2010 and April 23, 2010.
Teachers and para educators will attend seventeen (17) additional minutes at the end of each day beginning March 8, 2010.
Teachers and para educators will teach students full days on the three previously scheduled student half-days.
The last day for teachers will be June 16, 2010.
The last day for para educators will be June 14, 2010.
The changes were made as a result of numerous weather cancellations during the 2009-2010 school year.
