FEMA Administrator to visit New York and Delaware

WASHINGTON- Today, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Craig Fugate will begin a two day trip to New York and Delaware to meet with congressional, state, and local officials, as well as FEMA employees. Administrator Fugate will discuss the critical role various members of the emergency response team play as well as the steps already underway to strengthen partnerships and prepare the public for the next disaster. Beyond meetings there will be two open press events:

Wednesday, July 1

Administrator Fugate will join Mayor Bloomberg for a brief press availability to discuss the importance of preparedness and FEMA’s critical partnership with state and local emergency managers and first responders.
