On Tuesday, June 13th Governor Carney signed into law legislation aimed at addressing wage disparities between men and women.
The bill prohibits employers from requesting salary history of job applicants.
Delaware will become the first state to enact such changes into law. Massachusetts passed a similar measure last year that will take effect in January.
