February 1 — Jack Markell held a meeting with the Hispanic Community in Wilmington.

HBA was represented by important small business owners, assisted community and religious leaders and members of the SBDC (Small Business Development Center).

The Delaware’s Governor heard the suggestions of our Community about micro-small businesses, immigration, and other issues such as driving privileges and state ID.

In Spanish, Governor Markell asked a Spanish teacher from Aspira for requesting to her students why the Hispanic boys and girls didn’t finish their studies in High School.

For the Governor, constructive approach and the creation of boards and commissions are vital points to the cooperation between the State Government and the Hispanic Community.
