Thirty pilgrims from New Castle County accompanied the Guadalupe Torch from Baltimore to St. Paul, Wilmington on December 4.
A record of sixty-six pilgrims from New Castle County ran from Wilmington to Philadelphia on December 5.
The Torch Pilgrimage started at the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico on October 12 and finished at St. Patrick Cathedral in New York City on December 12.
