Sealed bids will be received by the Sussex County Community Development and Housing Division on the rehabilitation of homes throughout Sussex County. General Contractors wishing to bid on the work must be on the Approved Contractors List. Forms for the Approved Contractors List are available by contacting the Department of Sussex County Community Development and Housing Department.
All necessary bid documents will be available at the pre-bid meeting which will be held in the West Complex, located at 22215 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, Delaware. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is mandatory for bidding eligibility. Bid packages will not be available to anyone arriving after the official start of the meeting.
Bids are especially invited from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Woman Business Enterprises (WBE), and Veteran Business Enterprises (VBE).
All bids shall be sealed and labeled with contractor’s business name. Bids to include Bid Return Form, individual proposal for each job, and contractor’s business license and proof of insurance. Bids shall be submitted within 10 days to the Sussex County Community Development and Housing office located at the Sussex County Administrative Offices Building, 22215 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, Delaware, at which time they will be publicly opened and recorded.
The Sussex County Community Development office reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause and to waive irregularities in the bid documents. Questions may be addressed to the Sussex County Community Development and Housing department at (302) 855-7777.
