This area will be closed because a group calling itself the Aryan Nation has advised the Town that they intend to hold a rally in this public area to protest illegal immigration. This group whose views and philosophy closely mirror those of the KKK are currently on the FBI’s Terrorist Watch List. Despite this there is no way the Town can legitimately or physically restrain their use of our Bandstand/Plaza area.
There will be a significant law enforcement presence in the area of the Bandstand Plaza, and the Town asks that all residents please stay clear of the Bandstand/Plaza between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. this Saturday, September 18th.
