Indian River School District to extend school day by 30 minutes

Beginning on Monday, March 17, the Indian River School District will extend the school day by 30 minutes at all of its schools. The minutes will be added to the end of the school day. The morning start time for each school will remain the same.

The school day is being extended to make up lost instructional hours resulting from seven weather cancellations during the 2013-2014 school year.

In addition, the end of the third marking period is being moved from March 31 to April 2. The distribution of report cards will remain on April 9.
