After a healing workshop, I heard within, ‘in the belly of the whale.’ I remembered Jonah. The Lord sends him to Nineveh; instead, he, out of fear, boards a ship heading the opposite way. Nineveh is a picture of the false identity. Most view this book as one about a man punished for disobedience. Yet the account is about God’s infinite mercy, faithfulness and ever lasting love.
Sailors on board ask for guidance after God sends a great wind that shakes the ship. In the midst of the chaos, in the lowest part of the ship, Jonah is found asleep. The men throw Jonah overboard, at his own request, to end the misery. But, ‘…the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish…” So what seems as a bad turn of events, serves as the first healing therapy. ‘Be still and know’…we too enter a ship. It is that mental box created by the ego. In that self-limiting container, our true identity is held captive and bombarded by continuous lullabies full of lies our true self is unable to wake up. Thus, the illusion that God’s promises fail is created. It is time to set the captives free!
See that the GREAT WIND is God’s mercy to wake up the SPIRITUAL BEING. The GREAT FISH is God’s love to help heal the emotional and spiritual wounds. The healing therapy feels like hell; but, it is a necessary progressive work for exposing the hidden plagues in the soul. Jonah described it as ‘…the floods surrounded me; all Your billows and Your waves passed over me…the waters encompassed me to my soul; the deep closed around me…” And then he notes: ‘weeds were wrapped around my head…” Then he calls upon God.
The WEEDS are the self negative thoughts that play in the minds of those not yet healed. And Jonah having learned that important lesson, shares its wisdom, saying: ‘they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.’ LYING vanities are rooted in the wrong identity. After Jonah’s prayer, the Lord speaks to the fish and it vomits him upon the dry land.
God calls to the DOVE- Jonah- the son of ‘Amittai’, which means “MY TRUTH.” We too are sons and daughters of MY TRUTH. Christ is in our truth and our D.N.A. Everything that covers this truth is exposed ‘in the belly of the whale’ and vomited on dry land.

Después de un taller de sanación, escuché en mi ser, ‘en el vientre de la ballena. Recordé a Jonás. El Señor lo envía a predicar en Nínive. En cambio, él, por temor, aborda un barco en la dirección opuesta. Nínive representa la identidad falsa. La mayoría creen que el libro se trata de un hombre que es castigado por su desobediencia. Sin embargo, se trata de la infinita miscericordia, la fidelidad y el amor eterno de Dios.
Los Marineros pidieron consejo después que Dios enviara un gran viento que estremeció la nave. En el medio del caos, en la parte más baja de la nave, Jonás dormía profundamente. Lo echaron al mar pues él mismo pidió que así lo hicieran para dar por terminada la miseria que los acogía. “Pero Jehová tenía preparado un pez que tragase a Jonás. Y estuvo Jonás en el vientre del pez…” De manera que lo que parece ser un evento no deseado, resulta sirviendo como el primer tratamiento de una terapia sanativa. ‘Estad quietos y conoced…’ también entramos en una nave. Y es una caja mental creada por el ego. Es un envase de limitación propia, en la que cautiva se encuentra nuestra identidad verdadera. Ahí, acribillada por las continuas canciones con líricas engañosas nuestro ser verdadero no puede despertar. Así se crea la ilusión de que Dios falla en sus promesas. Es tiempo de liberar a los cautivos!
El GRAN VIENTO es la MISCERICORDIA de Dios para despertar a nuestro SER ESPIRITUAL. El GRAN PEZ es el AMOR de Dios para sanar nuestras heridas emocionales y espirituales. Aunque en esa terapia sanativa se siente como estar en el infierno, es labor progresiva y necesaria que ayuda a exponer las plagas dentro del alma. Jonás las describe así, “Me echaste a lo profundo, en medio de los mares, Y me rodeó la corriente; Todas tus ondas y tus olas pasaron sobre mí.” Entonces toma nota de lo siguiente “El alga se enredó a mi cabeza.” Entonces clama a Dios.
Las algas son los pensamientos negativos que constantemente se encuentran en las mentes de aquellos que aún no han sanado. Y Jonás, habiendo aprendido esta lección importante, comparte su sabiduría: “Los que siguen vanidades ilusorias, su misericordia abandonan.” Las vanidades ilusorias, tienen sus raíces en la identidad falsa. Después de la oración de Jonás, Dios mandó al pez y lo vomitó en la tierra.
Dios llama a la PALOMA, – el significado del nombre Jonás-, el hijo de Ami’tai’ que significa MI VERDAD. Nosotros también somos hijos e hijas de MI VERDAD. Cristo es nuestra verdad y nuestro A.D.N . Todo aquéllo que cubra esa verdad es expuesta ‘en el vientre de la ballena’ y vomitada en tierra seca.
