Rehoboth Beach – The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that a brick patterned asphalt crosswalk will be installed at the intersection of Church Street and Rehoboth Avenue Extended in Rehoboth beginning Wednesday, September 9 and ending Friday, September 11, 2009. The lane shifts will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, weather pending.
Message boards have been placed in the area to alert motorists. Access to all businesses will be maintained. Only minimal, if any, delays are expected.
This work is being done as part of the $1.6 million Church Street Improvement Project, which improved the safety of the intersection by installing sidewalks, crosswalks, drainage and a new traffic signal.
