Dear Supporters, Friends and Educators:

Please join the Latin American Community Center (LACC) as we celebrate the success, triumphs and contributions of Hispanic students in Delaware. We are delighted to showcase the best of the best during our annual Hispanic Student Recognition Program (HSRP).

The 2010 ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 24th. Please save the date. The location and time will be announced at a later date.

This special event recognizes and acknowledges high achieving Hispanic students in Delaware in the following categories:

.Academics

.Art

.Science/Technology

.School/Community Service

.Sports

All nominees who attend the ceremony will receive a commemorative medal. The category winners will be announced during the event. The Outstanding Hispanic Student of the Year will be awarded to the top male and female student in the high school and middle school categories. We are requesting your participation and support by way of nominating a student.

Please take the time to nominate a Hispanic student in your school, community or church. Attached is the application that can be completed on-line or photocopied.

Applications are also available on our website at www.thelatincenter.org. Parents, family, friends, coaches, mentors and tutors are encouraged to nominate candidates. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, February 19, 2010.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to recognize deserving Hispanic youth. We hope to see you at the event on Saturday, April 24, 2010 (reservations required).
