La Exitosa radio began broadcasting on High Definition FM

Milford – Delmarva Broadcasting Company has announced the debut of Delmarva’s first Hispanic High Definition FM radio station.

La Exitosa, WYUS 930AM has been Delmarva’s heritage Hispanic station for 15 years.

On Monday June 1st 2009 WYUS began broadcasting on 97.7FM HD-2. The HD-2 signal provides high quality Hispanic programming from Dover to Georgetown for the first time on the FM dial.

“This is a momentous occasion for Hispanic radio on the Delmarva peninsula”, said Mike Kazala, radio station General Manager.

For 15 years, WYUS has been the leader in Hispanic Programming in Central Delaware. Today, we broaden our service to the Hispanic community by expanding La Exitosa’s signal onto the FM dial for the first time. The high-definition FM signal provides a higher-quality static-free listening experience.”

WYUS, La Exitosa, features award winning morning personality Rafael Orlando and Cristian Tijerino in the afternoon.

“It is the perfect mix of Latin hits for today’s Hispanic family on the Delmarva peninsula,” according to Steve Monz, Operations Manager.

“The music mix, combined with news and information of vital importance to the Hispanic community, has made La Exitosa a favorite with many loyal listeners for more than fifteen years”.
