As a child, I liked a show called ‘Romper Room.’ At the end a lady would look through a mirror and would say ‘I can see Sally and Mary, and Tommy and the names of other children. Every day I hoped to hear ‘I can see Zulma’ but she never did. I thought she couldn’t see me. During difficult times, I thought God was like that lady. But I learned that God sees and much better than I see myself. He sees you too!
This brought to mind a question, an answer and an insight: What do you do with a mirror? You look at yourself. Likewise, God grants us to see Him as if looking in a mirror.
What do you see? ‘For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.”
God requires that we examine the motivations of our hearts. Look with His single eye for it is in this way we give account to God. That is the meaning of: ‘examine yourself to see whether or not you are in the faith’.
It is wonderful when we can see clearly the meaning of Jesus’ words: ‘The Kingdom of God is within you’. Do you see it? That should propel you to do the internal work required today. Make a change; Christ leads the way! Do as the song Michael Jackson made popular: ‘Start with the man in the mirror.’

De niña solía ver un programa titulado ‘Romper Room.’ Al final una señora miraba en un espejo y decía ‘Veo a Sally, y a Mary, y a Tommy y decia los nombres de otros niños. Todos los dias esperaba escuchar ‘Veo a Zulma’ pero nunca lo escuché. Pensaba que no me podía ver. Durante tiempos dificiles, llegue a pensar que Dios era como esa señora. Aprendi que Dios me ve y mucho mejor que lo que me veo yo. ¡Te ve a tí también!
Esto me trajo a la mente una pregunta, una respuesta y una revelación: ¿Qué se hace con un espejo? Se mira uno a sí mismo. De la misma manera, Dios nos concede que lo veamos tal cual estuviéramos mirando en un espejo.
¿Qué ves? ‘Ahora vemos por un espejo, oscuramente; mas entonces veremos cara a cara. Ahora conozco en parte; pero entonces conoceré como soy conocido’.
Dios requiere que examinemos los motivos de nuestros corazones. Mire con Su ojo singular porque es de esta manera que damos cuenta a Dios. Eso es el significado de ‘Examinaos a vosotros mismos si estáis en la fe…’
¡Es maravilloso cuando podermos ver claramente el significado de las palabras de Jesús!: ‘El Reino de Dios está entre vosotros’. ¿Lo puedes ver? Entonces, éso lo puede impulsar a hacer el trabajo interior que se requiere hoy. ¡Haz un cambio; Cristo toma la delantera! Haz como dice la canción que Michael Jackson popularizó: ‘Empieza con el hombre en el espejo’.
En la vereda de la micericordia, la justicia y la paz, veamos la transformación de gloria a gloria en la imagen de Su Hijo.
