Wilmington, DE – Maria Matos, President and CEO of the Latin American Community Center (LACC), has been named a 2022 Philadelphia Titan 100. The Titan 100 program recognizes a premier group of 100 CEOs and C-level executives in Philadelphia and the greater metropolitan area. Representing both the private and public sector, these leaders are Titans of Industry who demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision, passion, and influence in their field.
Competition for this prestigious award is fierce. An independent judging committee of industry experts reviews and scores hundreds of nominations and ultimately selects 100 outstanding people they consider Titans of Industry.
“The Titan 100 are shaping the future of the Philadelphia business community by building a distinguished reputation that is unrivaled and preeminent in their field,” says Jaime Zawmon, President of Titan CEO. “We proudly recognize the Titan 100 for their successes and contributions. We know that they will have a profound impact that makes an extraordinary difference for their customers and clients across the nation.”
Maria Matos has led the LACC for 28 years. With the growth of Delaware’s Hispanic population, Maria has reached out with new programs to respond to the unmet needs of the migrant and immigrant community. She has guided the LACC from a small resource center to the largest Hispanic-serving organization in the state.
“I am humbled to be recognized in the company of so many successful executives,” states Maria. “My job has been lightened by the talented staff, board members and community members who have supported me with their dedication to the LACC.”
Maria was honored at the Titan 100 awards on September 8, 2022 at The Drexelbrook located in Drexel Hill, PA.
The LACC is a nonprofit, community-based organization that has been committed to meeting the needs of Latinos in Delaware since 1969. Its mission is to empower the Latino community through education, advocacy, partnerships and exceptional services.
