McDonald’s® honors fifteen local Latino college scholarship recipients


Philadelphia – On June 7, Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) and the McDonald’s® Owner/Operators of the Greater Philadelphia Region recognized the accomplishments of 15 local high school seniors and recipients of the 2011 RMHC/Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources® (HACER®) college scholarship at an awards celebration at the Down Town Club. The scholarship program awarded 15 – 2, $5,000 and 13, $1,000 – college scholarships to local Latino high school students for their academic achievement and community involvement. Claudia Gomez of FOX29 emceed the event and Managing Director and Deputy Mayor for Administration and Coordination for the City of Philadelphia, Richard Negrin, served as keynote speaker.
