Wilmington, DE – The Latin American Community Center (LACC) held its annual Grand Ball on October 1 at the Waterfall facility in Claymont.
This year’s theme was: “A Night in Buenos Aires.”
Vivian Rapposelli (Secretary for the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and their Families) received the 2010 Distinguished Hispanic Delawarean Award.
Dr. Yamil Sánchez, Director of the Kuumba Academy in Wilmington, received the award for Professional Achievement, and JP Morgan Chase was named Corporate Partner of the Year.
The Master of Ceremonies was John Rago, director of communications and policy development for Wilmington Mayor James Baker, and keynote speaker, María Matos (Executive Director of LACC) who addressed a memorable speech about the education of the Hispanic children in our state.
