On April 18, a business forum was organized at First State Manufacturing facilities in Milford, DE.
The event was organized by the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MAHCC), and served as the first networking event held in Delaware.
MAHCC is a thriving organization serving the Mid-Atlantic region with Chapters in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and now Delaware.
72 people registered for the event, including representatives from DEDO; DelDOT; Town of Wilmington; Milford Police Department; and offices of US Delaware Senators Thomas Carper and Chris Coons.
The forum covered 16 steps identified by the MAHCC Small-Business Development Institute as critical for Hispanic entrepreneurs planning to start a new business.
The main objectives of the forum were to help women, veterans, Hispanics and other minority entrepreneurs to gain a better understanding of how to start a business the right way as well as to help them identify areas of weakness in their planning process.
Several of the attendees voluntary shared with the Chamber their ideas for starting a new business or expanding an existing one, and sought MAHCC advice.
The Chamber enjoys a sterling reputation due to its strong corporate values and its ability to deliver quality results to the business community it represents.
