WASHINGTON, D.C. — State education leaders, teachers’ union officials and members of the non-profit community will announce their commitment to the “Tough Choices or Tough Times” education reform report March 10 at the National Press Club.
The author of the report, the New Commission on the Skills of the American Workforce (www.skillscommission.org), previously announced the first set of states to implement its recommendations would be Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Utah. The reform initiative includes instructional systems based on the highest international standards in addition to revamping the high school-college transition and other needed reforms.
