Nanticoke Indian Tribe’s 41st Annual Powwow

The Nanticoke Indian Tribe will be holding their 41st Annual Powwow on Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9, 2018. The powwow grounds are located in the middle of a naturally beautiful wooded area off Rt. 24, John J. Williams Highway, Millsboro, DE. Powwow grounds open at 10:00 a.m., and Grand Entry on Saturday will be at 12:00 Noon, second dance session at 4:00 p.m. Sunday morning begins with a Worship Service at 10:00 a.m.; Grand Entry on Sunday is at 1:00 p.m. The Native American crafts and food vendors open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, and following worship service on Sunday. Entrance Fee is $5.00 per person, 12 and under free. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the day!

The Parking Lot GPS Friendly Address for the powwow is: 26800 John J. Williams Highway, Millsboro, DE 19966. Parking is free.

Attendees who are wheelchair bound or have motorized wheelchairs will enter the powwow grounds on Mount Joy Road and will be directed to the identified parking area where unloading and access to seating is convenient. Unless otherwise directed, handicapped attendees who normally use the general powwow parking area will continue to do so. Special seating for these handicapped individuals will continue to be available and monitored by powwow staff.
