Nanticoke Memorial Hospital Health Fair a success


Nanticoke Memorial Hospital held a very informative, educational, and fun health fair Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Laurel Senior High School in Laurel, Delaware, holding true to their mission of the event — to provide education and information on many aspects of living a healthy lifestyle.

The health fair featured over 60 health care areas offering free information and education, along with free health screenings for cholesterol, glucose, skin damage, and more. Over 260 individuals attended the health fair with over 450 there to see Washington Redskins retired running back, Clinton Portis.

There was health information and interactive displays on heart risk factors, stroke awareness, healthy eating, diabetes, cancer, wound care, and much more. In addition, free blood pressure checks were offered, and individuals were able to walk through the AmeriHeart® giant inflatable heart!
