At last weekend’s Delaware GOP convention, Nelly Aliste Jordan was elected Vice Chairman of the Delaware Republican Party. Nelly was challenged by Ruth Briggs King, the legislative representative of the 37th district.
During the convention on Saturday, April 28, both candidates delineated their plans to build the party and coalesce the troops.
After all speeches were in the voting began by paper ballot.
After each county voted, the numbers for all three counties were combined and announced: 158 votes for Nelly and 132 for Ruth.
Nelly’s Five Point Plan includes:
1.Work to fill all FDC and EDC positions through a totally devoted full time presence.
2.Find qualified candidates for every race, leaving no seat uncontested.
3.Work with Hispanic citizens to bring them into our party and grow our numbers.
4.Structure support for our candidates.
5.Unify our five regions.

En la convención del Partido Republicando de Delaware de la semana pasada, Nelly Aliste Jordan fue elegida vicepresidenta del Partido Republicano de Delaware.
La oponente de Nelly fue Ruth Briggs King, representante legislativa del distrito 37.
Durante la convención del sábado, 28 de abril ambas candidatas expusieron sus planes para reconstruir el partido y reclutar miembros en sus filas. Después de todos los discursos se inició la votación mediante papeleta.
Después de cada condado votase, los resultados de los tres condados se agruparon y fueron anunciados: 158 votos a favor de Nelly y 132 a favor de Ruth.
El plan de Nelly incluye cinco puntos:
