Fish and Wildlife Enforcement made multiple arrests related to boating safety, other violations

issued a summons to appear in the Court of Common Pleas. Three passengers in Cooper’s car were fined for trespass after hours: Shampain Brooks, age 18, and Storm R. Winters, age 20, and Danielle L. Williams, age 26, all of Dover.

Agents also made four fishing-related arrests:

* James R. Clark, age 48, of Middletown, was arrested June 19 and charged with one count of commercial crab pot tampering in Rehoboth Bay. Clark was fined and released.

* Michael J. Claire, age 50, Orville R. Kelley, age 57, and Robert Woolsey, age 49, all of Newark, were arrested June 19 and charged with one count each of tending unmarked crab pots on Indian River. All three were fined for violating Delaware regulations that require crab pots to be marked with the crabber’s name.

* Frank S. Eicherly IV, age 52, of Frederica, was arrested June 21 off Bowers Beach and charged with one count of failing to properly tag bags of oysters. Eicherly was fined and released.
