If you see a Sposato landscaper cutting grass, weed-whacking or edging, it’s a pretty good bet that they were trained by Poncho Lares. Lares, of Milton, has been with Sposato since 1999, most of that as training manager. He estimates he has trained over 800 new employees over that time.

“It’s been fun,” said Lares of his career. “I have no complaints and people here seem to like me.”

“Part of the reason our company has grown over the years is because of Poncho,” said founder Tony Sposato. “You can’t grow a business unless you have a good training program. Poncho teaches them how to do the job and how to do it safely.”

Lares and his wife, Rosa, have three children and nine grandkids.
