Red Balloon hoedown to benefit the wellness community- Delaware

The 4th Annual Red Balloon Hoedown to benefit The Wellness Community – Delaware will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Lewes Fire Department – Station 2. Roundup will begin at 7 PM with the welcoming voice of Brian Hall from the CAT Country DJ Team. The Whirlaways Square Dance Club will get the party started and have everyone on their feet! There will be plenty of dancing so shine your boots!!

A scrumptious Barbeque dinner with all the fixins’ will be generously provided by Nourish Specialty Foods and Catering. So, come join the fun at a good, old fashioned country party. There will be dancing, games, surprises and plenty of grub and moonshine! There will also be a live auction of awesome “must have it” items and experiences. Red Balloon commemorative mugs will be available for purchase, entitling the bearer to wine and beer throughout the evening.

Tickets for this event cost only $35.00 per person are on sale now. This downstate Signature Red Balloon event helps The Wellness Community – Delaware raise public awareness about cancer. The red balloons are a symbolic gesture of remembrance for loved ones who have survived in their fight against the disease and for those who have succumbed. A tribute balloon dedicated to the person of your choice will be available for $10.00 each. The balloons are the traditional centerpiece of the Hoedown.

The Wellness Community-Delaware is part of a national nonprofit organization that provides support, education and hope to people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation in professionally led support groups, educational workshops and mind/body classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills that enable them to regain control of their lives, reduce isolation and restore hope regardless of the stage of the disease.
