Wilmington, DE, October 29, 2012 — The American Red Cross Delmarva Region continues its response efforts as Hurricane Sandy’s impact on the region strengthens. The local Red Cross is supporting 25 shelters on the Peninsula (Delaware, Eastern Shore of Maryland, and Accomack and Northampton Counties in Virginia) with a total population of 994 residents.
The Red Cross urges residents to stay safe during Hurricane Sandy by heeding warnings from officials.
