Georgetown – Start celebrating Cinco de Mayo 2013 at Delaware Tech on Saturday, May 4 with 3rd Annual Roady 5K run/walk. The event will take place at the pavilion near the Student Services Center at the Jack F. Owens Campus in Georgetown.
New to the event this year is a post-race fiesta sponsored by Dos Locos and Modern Mixture, local restaurants in Rehoboth Beach, DE. During the post-race fiesta, you’ll find authentic Mexican food that can be washed down with family-friendly margaritas. In addition to the food and drink, there will be prizes/awards, games and music for the entire family.
Pre-registration has just opened to runners and walkers. Registration on the day of the race will begin at 8 a.m., and the race starts at 9 a.m.
Adults can pre-register for $20 ($25 day of race). Delaware Tech students and children under 17 years old can pre-register for only $10.
A new registration opportunity is available this year! If you cannot make it to the event, or cannot make it out of the bed on Saturday morning, you can pre-register as a “Sleep Walker” for $20 to reserve your T-shirt, support the effort and sleep in!
All individuals who pre-register will receive a T-shirt. Additionally, awards will be presented to the overall individual winners and age category winners.

The Roady 5K is co-hosted by the Delaware Tech Owens Campus Alumni Association and the Student Government Association. Proceeds benefit the Delaware Tech Class of 2013 Gift Program.
