    Scenes like this are only one of the many things that you will observe at our 37th Annual Pow Wow to be held Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th, 2014. Pow Wow Grounds open at 10 am on the 6th and Grand Entry is at 12 Noon. Second Dance session will be at 4 pm Grounds close around 7 pm On Sunday, the 7th, our Worship Service begins at 10 am and Grand Entry is at 1 pm Dancing, storytelling, etc., throughout the afternoon. Grounds close at 5 pm. There will be American Indian drummers and singers, forty plus visiting tribes from across Indian Country, authentic Indian art and c....

    Cinco de Mayo is a date of great importance for the Mexican and Chicano communities. It marks the victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the Battle of Puebla. Although the Mexican army was eventually defeated, the "Batalla de Puebla" came to represent a symbol of Mexican unity and patriotism. With this victory, Mexico demonstrated to the world that Mexico and all of Latin America were willing to defend themselves of any foreign intervention.     Twenty-one talented state employees and their family members were recognized on March 8, 2014 for their works of art as the results of the National Arts Program®: Delaware State Employee Exhibition and Contest III.     Sunday, January 5 and Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at 7 PM, at Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Rd., Georgetown, DE. Auditions will consist of a short musical selection, limited to 16 bars, readings from the script, and some simple choreographed dance movement. Those wishing to audition should bring their own music. Piano accompaniment will be available. South Pacific will have a cast of 20 to 30 people.
