    WILMINGTON, DE – The Arsht-Cannon Fund at the Delaware Community Foundation is proud to announce that it has awarded approximately $600,000 in grants during the 2013 fiscal year (July 1, 2012-June 30, 2013).     This year along with other performers, 11 year old Naya Gonzalez was invited to perform at the Schwartz Center during a Hispanic Heritage month celebration. This ballerina represented her Hispanic culture by dancing two classical variations that were choreographed by dance teacher and owner of the Dance Conservatory in Dover, Mrs. Teresa Emmons. Naya has been dancing for 7 years and not only did she represent the Dance Conservatory but she did a wonderful job by representing her culture as a former Little Miss Hispanic DE 2010/2011. Con motivo de ser Chile el país invitado de la edición del festival de este año, se presentaron numerosos bailes de esta nación andina: del sur, del altiplano, de la isla de Pascua y tradicionales como la cueca.     A Youth Art Show will be held at the Delaware Children's Museum on Thursday, August 15, from 5 pm to 8 pm. It consists of paintings, photography and spoken word by youth ages 12 to 18.
