El Consulado Mexicano en Filadelfia ha anunciado que va a llevar a cabo un consulado móvil el sábado 23 de marzo en las instalaciones de la Iglesia de Dios en Dagsboro, DE (en la Ruta 113, al sur de Millsboro).

Wilmington, DE: The Latin American Community Center (LACC), in partnership with Aspira of Delaware and the Delaware Alliance for Community Advancement, held an event on Saturday, December 1, 2012 to assist youth and their families apply for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

Universal recycling available Jan. 1, 2013 for Delaware’s multi-family complexes
New Year’s Day 2013 marks the expansion of recycling services in Delaware to include multi-family apartment and condominium complexes. Waste collectors have partnered with multi-family complexes to provide recycling services along with their trash services through the state’s universal recycling program.

US Labor Department’s OSHA to host Hispanic Safety Summit in Seaford, Del., June 10
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration will host a Hispanic safety summit June 10 from 1:30-5:30 p.m. EDT at the Iglesia Dios Maranatha Church located at 24620 German Road in Seaford. More than 100 people are expected to participate, including workers, employers, and representatives of community organizations and federal and state agencies.

Aviso de fraude telefónico para el robo de identidad en Delaware
Según llamadas recibidas en la redacción de HOY en Delaware, por los propios afectados, se está llevando a cabo un fraude telefónico que tiene como finalidad el robo de identidad.
En estos días la comunidad hispana de Delaware (especialmente en el área de Sussex County) está recibiendo llamadas en español a sus teléfonos.
El comunicante les informa en español que se va a proceder al corte de suministro de luz en su domicilio debido a la falta de pago y que si quieren evitar el corte de suministro han de efectuar un pago en un plazo de entre 24 y 48 horas.
