Most public libraries in Sussex County will be closed Thursday, May 9, 2013, so staff can attend the annual Delaware Library Association/Maryland Library Association (DLA/MLA) Conference in Ocean City, Md.

Updated: Located missing Person in Dover
The Georgetown Police Department reports that 71-year-old Joan E. Lavigne has been located in the City of Dover on Monday afternoon and she is currently being medically checked at Kent General Hospital as a precaution.
Lavigne, currently on medication for cancer and mental illness is a white female, 5 ft 07 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 lbs, Hazel eyes and bald due to treatment for cancer.
She was last seen on April 13, 2013 leaving the Royal Farms in Georgetown at approximately 10:30 am.

Latin Center to Participate in Summer Food Service Program
The Latin American Community Center will be participating in the 2013 Summer Food Service Program from June 17th to August 23th.
It will make free meals available to all youth in the agency’s summer camp program.
This initiative will enable the Latin Center to offer nutritious meals to over 100 children between 1-5 years old and over 150 school-aged children in summer programs.

DelDOT Update for Monday Night
As the evening commute approaches, drivers should know that while the primary roads are clear of snow and slush, there still may be slick spots on back roads in the state.
Crews from the Delaware Department of Transportation have been working all day pushing snow and applying salt, some of whom began working at 3 a.m. today. About 400 people were working on the roads all day today.
