Celebración del Viacrucis en Georgetown (DE)
Los feligreses de la parroquia católica de San Miguel Arcángel (Georgetown, DE), acudieron mayoritariamente la mañana del Viernes 4 de Abril para participar en el Viacrucis que tuvo lugar un año más por las calles de la ciudad.
Con fervor y respeto, una multitud de feligreses acompañaron a la cruz portada por voluntarios en su camino por las calles de la capital del condado de Sussex.
El Padre César Gómez dirigió la liturgia del Viacrucis y la hermana María Mairlot dirigió el coro que acompañó con sus cánticos a los portadores de la cruz y al resto de la multitud.

Posada is the Spanish word for “to take shelter” or “to take in.” Christians throughout Latin America celebrate a novena before Christmas of meditations and feasts inviting participants to give shelter to the newborn King in their lives.
The Hispanic communities are pleased to invite the entire community to take the Christ child in our hearts in inspiring Posada celebrations. Don’t be surprised if Joseph and Mary show up seeking posada. Delicious tamales and piping hot atole drink will be served. All are welcome.

Obispos hispanos de Estados Unidos marcan celebración de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe con carta pastoral a inmigrantes
En una carta dirigida a los inmigrantes, fechada el 12 de diciembre, Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, treinta y tres obispos católicos hispanos/latinos expresaron su preocupación y su solidaridad con los inmigrantes en Estados Unidos, particularmente los indocumentados.
La carta fue publicada simultáneamente desde las arquidiócesis de Los Ángeles y San Antonio y se les envía para su información.

Georgetown, DE - Como si de una estrella de rock se tratase, la Virgen de Guadalupe consiguió llenar la parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel de Georgetown el 11 de Diciembre.
Los feligreses unidos celebraron "las mañanitas" dedicadas a la Virgen de Guadalupe con numerosas intervenciones a ella dedicadas.
El Padre César Gómez actuó como maestro de ceremonias, ayudado por un implacable "juez de hierro" que fue puntuando las diferentes intervencione....

El Padre César celebró boda múltiple
En la parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, cinco parejas contrajeron esponsales el 23 de julio.
El Padre César Gómez bendijo las uniones.
Posteriormente las cinco parejas y sus invitados y familiares celebraron conjuntamente los enlaces.
No faltaron las simpáticas travesuras de los pequeños pajes y damas de honor en la celebración del evento.

Seton Center open house in Princess Ann, MD
Princess Ann, MD - "Providing help, creating hope... that is the goal of the Catholic Charities", said the Most Reverend W. Francis Malooly, Bishop of the Diocese of Wilmington on July 26th, when he visited the Seton Center at Princess Ann.
The center provides support both to the local community and the Hispanic migrant workers, which in the summer months could be in the several hundreds.
Seton Center is one of the Catholic Charities locations in the Diocese of Wilmington which celebrated an Open House, a Chinese Auction and a tour of the facilities.
"We are very proud of our staff"....

La comunidad católica de Georgetown celebró su tradicional Viacrucis
Georgetown, DE - Dirigidos por el Padre César Gómez, la comunidad católica de Georgetown celebró su tradicional Viacrucis el Viernes Santo (22 de abril 2011) por las calles de la capital de condado de Sussex.
Al frente de la procesión también se encontraban la hermana María Mairlot y Filadelfo González. Con gran fervor, más de 400 fieles acompañaron a la cruz durante las estaciones del Viacrucis.

Iranians, Jews and Christians must unite!
The Iranian and Jewish experiences are not dissimilar. Both peoples have had their homelands seized or occupied by blood thirsty "invaders," and both peoples have spent many years living in exile around the world.
Before the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, Jews had no real centralized homeland or refuge in the event of another Holocaust, only their adopted countries in the United States, Europe, South America and elsewhere. Iranians, who like to call themselves Persians given the stigma associated with the current radical Islamic regime, do not have the luxury of a real homeland....
